10 Great Metro Phoenix Restaurants For A Day Without A Work From Home

The last year and a half has changed the way people work. Working from home has become the norm, but that no longer means being confined to the home. Whether it’s going out of the house or out of the office, here are places that are more than just cafes, for a day without a home job.

1. Zinc

The French-inspired restaurant and bar at Scottsdale Fashion Square offers indoor and outdoor seating. The interior creates a clam environment facilitating productivity. The patio has a fireplace and plants making it a perfect space for socializing. Open daily at 7 a.m., they offer a wide variety of food and drink at any time of the day.

2. The Henri

The Henry, located at the corner of 44th Street and Camelback Road, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers classic, effortless styling with all seating types and a full service restaurant and bar. Whether for work or meeting, The Henry offers a friendly neighborhood atmosphere.

3. Coffee available

Located on Campbell Avenue and 32nd Street, Provision is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The atmosphere and the schedules make it the perfect place to drink caffeine and work or have a cocktail after a long day. Founded in 2011, Provision aims not only to produce perfectly artisanal coffee, but a community. Founders Dan and Lawrence traveled the world to fully understand the life cycle of coffee. After mastering their coffee, the duo decided it was time to expand into cocktails and food. Much like their coffee, it has been refined until it is perfect.

4. Coffee Kahvi + Coffee

The newest principle in the monOrchid building on Roosevelt and 3rd Streets, Kahvi Coffee + Cafe poffers a relaxed atmosphere inspired by a blend of two cultures, Scandinavia and Tulum, Mexico. The cafe also has a bar with wine and beer. The rear of the café houses a gallery of works by local artists.

5. 32 Shea

For over a decade, 32 Shea has served coffee, food, and cocktails. The space transforms completely from day to night. In the morning the space looks like an espresso bar providing a good working environment, after 4 p.m. the space becomes a dark and cozy living room. Vegetation surrounds the patio creating an oasis, and it is dog friendly.

6. Lux

With two locations in the valley, Lux is a great place to work with coffee, baked goods, meals, and various seating options. It doesn’t matter if clients prefer to work early or late, as Lux is open from 6:00 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

7. The Churchill

Located in the Roosevelt Art’s District, The Churchill is home to ten local businesses and features a 9,000 square foot yard. The open-air yard is nice for work and a community gathering place, perfect for the Phoenix Fall.

8. Schmooze bar and breakfast

Located near Goldwater Boulevard and Indian School Road, Schmooze Bar and Breakfast caters to professionals who want a private, club-like setting for meeting, recruiting and working. They have several conference rooms which can be rented. With food, coffee, and cocktails, it’s a unique space that’s very different from other coffee and cocktail bars.

9. Luci’s market

From hot dishes to take-out salads and sandwiches, there is something to suit every customer’s needs. Inside you’ll find a small market that sells gifts, beer, and wine. The new concept, The Other Bar recently opened inside the market space and opens at 3pm

ten. First draft bar

Located inside the Phoenix location of the Changing Hands Bookstore, First Draft offers coffee, tea, kombucha, mocktails, wine, beer and more. Although there is less seating available, the atmosphere of the bookstore provides a quiet and unique space, ideal for reading and working.
