A new Italian restaurant could arrive in Coral Springs • Coral Springs Talk
By Bryan Boggiano
Diners looking for a taste of traditional Italian cuisine may soon have another option to choose from.
The site is Applebee’s former location, which closed in February due to financial difficulties resulting from the pandemic.
Divieto, which means “ban” in Italian, has an atmosphere reminiscent of 1920s New York. This includes decorations that model the fashion and air of the day, according to website.
They offer more than 70 Italians dishes, including various antipasti, soups, salads, pizzas, pasta dishes, meats and desserts, all made from local ingredients. Their signature dish is the Ruota di Parmigiano, a fettuccine-Afredo dish tossed in a wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Divieto also has a large alcohol card, including wines, beers and cocktails, according to their website.
At the time of going to press, there is no specific opening date for the proposed Coral Springs location.
