SEATTLE, June 30, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Well Known Seattle “power torque”, Carol Bailey and dr. Steve medwell – The Princess and the Bear – announce the grand opening of that of Seattle first and only French tasting cellar and Wine Clubs, July 8-11, of 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily, featuring wines made primarily by women and not available elsewhere in the United States. “We are delighted to bring our diversity of specially selected, mostly organic wines from the world’s largest wine region to the Pacific Northwest,” said Co-founder and lawyer of Princess & Bear Carol bailey. “These delicious little lots and the incredible artisanal winegrowers, which we discovered by chance, have become our passion. We are delighted to be able to share them with our first house, Seattle, and members of our wine clubs across the United States. “
“We hope Seattle joins us in the love of these small lots of wines “, said co-founder Dr. Steve medwell. “We are the only company to import only French wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region in France in America and they are available right here in Seattle. The majority of the wines that we select from us in Languedoc are under $ 30 a bottle despite their exceptional quality. “
When Medwell retired after decades as a colorectal surgeon at that of Seattle Polyclinic, and Bailey retired from his family practice law firm, Integrative Family Law, both believed they were retiring and moving to an idyllic property in the charming village of Quarante, France. Instead, they found out about this incredible underground movement of independent, mostly female, winegrowers shaking up the conventional bulk wine industry and the couple were instantly captivated. It has become their mission to import these carefully selected high quality wines and to defend the small independent winegrowers of the region.
“One of the things that makes Languedoc-Roussillon wines so special is the sheer number of grape varieties grown here,” said Bailey. “Over the past 20 years, winemakers have come from all over the world to make wine in this region because the geography is so varied, from sandy Mediterranean soils to iron-rich clay soils to mountain shale. has its favorite terroir and tells the story of the land. We are now honored to bring the story of these incredible winemakers, and their wines, to Seattle. As we say, “Our pride in this place brings joy to your glass “.
